Meet Aby

I'm Aby Owens, a bilingual speech-language pathologist, mama, daughter, sister, and friend.  I am originally from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico though I now reside in Georgia with my husband and three children.  You'll quickly find that faith and family are central to who I am and I deeply believe in the power of communication for our relationships.  Thus, my career as a speech-language pathologist is much more than a job, it is a mission to help others connect with their loved ones.

My clinical experience includes a variety of populations and disorders.  I have worked in outpatient pediatric and adult rehabilitation with adults who have experienced cerebrovascular accidents and traumatic brain injuries.  I have also worked in the acute care setting with a number of additional types of patients.  However, much of my recent experience has been working in the daycare and private school setting with children who have autism, down’s syndrome, and chromosomal disorders.  I am a certified member of the American Speech-Language Association and licensed in the state of Georgia.
